here are some foundry FPW french dragoons
i base my units at 50 men to a figure so a full strength cavalry regt for france or prussia will be 12 models
im not 100% sure about the epaulettes for the officer i have done them as silver bu if they should be gilt please let me know. i seem to have several great french books on uniforms but they seem to exclusively focus on the imperial guard so i dont know how reliable that is for the line regts

i thought i would add some opposition for the french dragoons
so here are some prussian cuirassiers i painted about 9 months ago, they are the 3rd east prussian regt. they are painted in their traditional white uniforms with sky blue facings, the facings changed for each regt.
these models are foundry with a simple conversion for the trumpeter (for some bizarre reason foundry never did german trumpeters like they did for the french, and never did standard bearers for any of the cavalry!)
i think they look very nice although im sure they would have looked even nicer over a chassepot riflesight
when i paint cuirassiers i always remember an exhibit in the musee de l'armee in paris of a 1st empire cuirassiers cuirass with a 6lb roundshot hole in it, not a good day to be a cavalryman
