Hi Lads 
      Did any Scottish regiments wear kilts. over the pond fighting them yanks in 1812 war  ? 

As a friend has asked me to paint up a unit of  old minifigs 25mm  to fit in with my 1812 yanks  i was hoping that the 90th might of worn kilts could any of you put me on the right track please ,70th where Glasgow lowlands so i take it that they would not of had kilts ?BUT could the 93rd reg Sutherland Highlanders  worn the kilt?

If any of you chap can help be out with this skirt problem i have that would be great smiley: grin

No. 

90th Light Infantry Perthshire.

70th Lowland regular infantry.

93rd wore trewes (trousers) in government pattern plaid and wore bonnet/tams (not feathered bonnets like the 42nd & 92nd).

Have fun with your War of 1812 project.

will paint them up as the 2nd bn 93rd then ..(they will see action in are games ) not that the brits need any help .. They are just so hard to stop !
