Darren,

There is no fixed basing requirement, you can go with whatever you wish as long as units types are recognisable.

One suggested method is three figs for an inf. section (squad), two figs for LMG and support sections and one or two figs for command sections.

One model AFV = 2 to 3 tanks, etc.

Hello Darren,

To be honest, as long as both sides in the game use the same basing system, and as Dave has stated, the units are distinguishable, then you can quite easily use the figures for BGPzG.
Also handily, the FoW platoon nicely equates to approx. a company (give or take some support elements).
Alternatively you can just divide the forces by 2-3 to get the BGPzG forces....

Well, I've started painting up a WWII (Yank) force again. Using the Flames of War basing (which seems to be very popular in Australia at the moment. I'll have to pick these rules up ASAP so that I can give BGPG a go.

Cheers

Hi there !!

Not wishing to show my ignorance (Hard day at work thats my excuse )

In the table for base dimaensions you mention the term fi

e.g. for 20mm scale Infantry base 1 fi" - 2" x 1 fi" - 2"

What does the fi stand for ?

Figure basing

Hello,

just to confirm, does that mean then that a 20mm infantry base is 1.5 inches wide, or a half inch wide?

Played the rules for the first time yesterday. Very good.

Regards,

Mark
